Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I called my B&M yesterday to see if any of the new roll out items I am interested in would be in any toronto store. None of them are. Disappointing as usual regarding the selection in Canadian stores being nowhere near the USA locations. So I won't waste my time. Was thinking of checking out the exclusion vest in our one factory store but another JCA commented in a previous post that they done have the herringbone. I won't order it final sale online. Soooo jcrew does not get my money in the near future.

  2. I just placed an online order so I probably won't be heading in. I finally bit on the Boyfriend Fatigue jacket (even though I have one from a couple years ago), along with a tee for the hub (we are weaning off the graphic tees), couple tees for the boys for back to school and some leggings for the girls. New stuff in sale and lower free ship got me.

  3. Review of the (forlorn) cotton swing trench. And, can you tell me about 50 Shades of Grey?

    1. Hey Gigi,
Read all three books, the first was hilarious and definitely eye popping. Some pretty wild stuff but there is an actual story beneath all the sex and what have you. By the middle of the second book I was wishing for more story and less sex, because there is a lot of it. Overall they were entertaining but I doubt I'll be reading them again.

    2. Gigi, I haven't read the books but apparently they are fan fiction based on the Twilight series. I did read that series (but I couldn't bring myself to watch any of the movies ;) so I figured been there, done that. Here is an article I found about that: http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702303734204577464411825970488?mobile=y

  6. If anyone has an idea of what the factory stores are doing now/this weekend, I would greatly appreciate it! I have a bunch of returns but I'm not near the return date yet so I haven't decided if I'll go in. TIA! :)

  7. I did go by the store at lunch time today. They matched the online promo price plus 40% discount on the embroidered pom pom top in crimson that just went on today. I have been stalking it since it arrived but at $98.00, no way. I also picked up the linen cargo pant in pesto. I think this will do me for summer, so hopefully I am officially done.

    2. Let's stay strong...:) I really don't buy anything unless it is on sale or promo. It has to come out to at least 50% off which is not very hard to accomplish. The sale stuff at my store is very picked over even though they did add a few things this week. They have changed their markdown schedule back to marking down on Wednesday evenings and prices go into effect on Thursday. They had been doing them on Tuesday evenings for quite some time. I will not be interested in any of the new stuff until it goes on sale. If I get something full price then I kick myself when I see I could have gotten it for practically nothing down the road.

  8. Probably not stopping in this weekend but if I have time at lunch, I may. I got a bunch of stuff in the mail this week so I need to cool it for a while. I like the Vintage denim jacket in recycled indigo wash and it fits TTS. I'm wearing the Linen tee in fantastique and I'm glad I sized down since it's quite loose.

    1. Oh and I bought the Banago tote the other day, too. I do not need another straw tote bag but this one seemed special.

  9. Hmm. I stopped in to do a return today. 50% still going on. I did a quick look around the entire store and not one single thing caught my eye! The return was the point sur selvedge boyfriend jean in marshmallow, which I bought in two sizes. I returned the larger. These are super comfortable jeans, thick but with stretch, perfect creamy white with no show through. Runs really large, even for being boyfriends -- I am nearly always a 26, but almost always go up to a 27 in whites -- this pair fit in a size 26 with room to spare.

  10. I did stop by my store, even though i said that i wont. The store was empty, but lots of SA's running around.

    1. Cool rain boots on you, Ina! I'm hoping to grab the black. The one and only rain boots I own is from J.Crew when they made the tall ones with the plaid wool print, and buckle on each side. It has served me well since mid 2000 that I had no reason to purchase another one. I need a change. These new ones will look so cool on. :)

  11. I set foot in the store Friday after not buying anything since late May (!!!). I do like some of the fall arrivals but haven't tried anything on yet. The pleated lattice skirt in hidden floral, asymmetric zip sweater, petal tank in black, and unfortunately for my wallet, the leather double zip loafers, caught my eye. I'm intrigued by the endless shirt but I feel like it won't look good on.

Sale was zzzzz. The only thing I looked twice at was the trench dress but only the khaki color was on sale and it was a much lighter color than I envisioned. Ann Taylor has a more versatile trench dress for the price.

  12. I was in my Annapolis, MD store Friday and the boyfriend fatigue with the quilted sleeves (b2589) caught my eye. I absolutely love this jacket for fall. I paid full price (less educator discount) and I don't have a moment's regret. Cool jacket. Love! BTW, SA said they were selling out quickly (I bought the last M).

  13. I am looking for an On Sale Transport Tote from Madewell (either the navy or Medina version) and was wondering when they put up popbacks online... Does anyone know? Or have you seen the tote in your local MW?

  14. Are the Carrie Camis in store too? I'm looking for a size 0 in the Fatigue color. Any leads? karenturk1@gmail.com thank you!

  15. I stopped in last week. Sale is really picked over, but I bought the Merino texture panel sweater for $20.00,. a pair dark ebony espadrilles for $10.00 and a pair of tiny brass cone earrings for $7.50. There were a few fall things....sweatshirts and sweatpants and a few sweaters. I didn't look very closely. Not feeling it. I'm looking forward to fall clothing, but I'll be looking for big plaids, nice wool things, cute coats, cozy scarves, boots. Hope to see those things at the Crew!
