  2. Okay, can we talk about how long it is taking items to ship after we place an order? I am frustrated with J.Crew- my B&M is small and the inventory is often far behind the new rollouts- and my only other option is to order items online but when they all take a week to leave the distribution facility and another week or more to arrive, I seriously rethink placing an order! Has anyone experienced a regular delay when ordering?

  3. Back-ordered?
    Sold out?
"Other colors" and there are none?
These are administrative problems, not fashion trends.

  4. Come on website, I just need a quick answer on how pixie/gigi pants fit. How is no one available for live chat?

  5. Leopard print calf hair is fine in small doses, but does J Crew really need to offer 10 styles (season after season)? This seems like lazy overkill to me.

  6. The Crewcuts girls line is a tsunami of hearts - printed on everything from rash guards to pants. Most of the heart items end up in the sale section.

Starting last summer, JC even began to embroider pink hearts on the hem of t shirts, sweatshirts, tops and rash guards. My daughters have always loved J Crew, but this signature has been a real deal killer for them. It is a peculiarly tacky branding effort and I hope it stops.

  7. I'm done with the bedazzled clothing. I am SO glad I only bought 1 piece - the dark gray sweatshirt from last fall. I love it, but I am so over the redundancy of the jeweled tops. I would love to know how you wear the jeweled pants without injuring yourself. LOL.

I miss the vibrant colors from last fall.

In addition, I am no fashion industry guru, but I feel like J. Crew is offering items at the wrong time of year. For instance, the summer style guides featured a ton of sweaters, while right now - when it's cold outside, there aren't that many. And they're bedazzled. I also find the dress offerings are really lame. I've been going to anthro for my party/holiday dresses for the past 3 years.

  8. Anyone notice price increases on regular (not collection) items? Coat prices used to be $365 full price, now there are $398.

  9. I was so excited to get a JC catalog in the mail yesterday! I hadn't received one in months so I went online and re-signed up. I thought it was odd that the cover looked familiar when I realized it was October... ?!?!?! :(

  10. Their quality of materials and sewing left little to be desired. Bought red striped tissue turtleneck that I only wore once before I noticed the sewing under the armpit is ripped slightly. I compared it with another turtleneck I bought in Japan, and holy crap the difference is huge! The sewing is very fine you dont see any gap at all, made in Japan is amazing! I wish I live in Japan... Also, JC style is same old2, striped, anchors, colorblocking, jeweled collars, I dont see anything cute or groundbreaking in the stuff for this year. I am definitely not buying any JC coats! Bought a Burberry coat last year, omg so nice! Not buying anymore crap coat from JC! They used to sell 100% wool coat that is oh so soft, but now all their coats are wool blends, disappointing.

  11. I just noticed a hole in the seaming of my almost brand new elbow patch sweater. I've work the thing twice and haven't had it washed yet... Needless to say in pretty upset that I bought it for full price three weeks ago and now it's falling apart.

  12. I am looking for some advice - I recently got married and chose J.Crew bridesmaid dresses for my girls. I spent well over $1500 on all 9 of the dresses. On the morning of my wedding, it was noticed that one girl had a different color blue dress - hers was Caspian Blue where as all the other girls had on Dark Pacific. I called this to J.Crew's attention and they felt sorry for me and gave me back the money for the one bridesmaid dress (which I will give to her) and they also sent me a $75 gift card for myself. I am a very loyal customer and feel slighted that this is all they could provide me with. I am not entirely sure what I am looking for, but $75 wont even buy me a pair of jeans.... I am seeing if anyone had thoughts on this and what you might think is "fair". Its noticeable in the pictures that she is in a different colored dress.
